One of my last weddings of the 2017 season was Alex and Kim, and I couldn’t have had a better couple for this perfectly windy Chicago day. I went to high school with Alex and his younger brother Andrew, but I first met Alex and Kim as a couple at Amanda and Kenny‘s wedding and then again at Carly and Howie’s wedding when Alex was a groomsmen. I sat with Kim at dinner and chatted with her the entire time. So I was even more excited getting to be there for their big day!
There were so many smiles the entire day, you can feel the love and happiness! I asked Kim not to smile for one photo and she couldn’t do it, we then all proceeded to laugh for a good few minutes. There was no wiping the smile off anyones face, including during the family formals, I’ve never seen a couple so happy to do that section of pictures. I then caught myself smiling the entire time while editing and going through their pictures.
Their ceremony at St. Monica’s Parish in Chicago was a sweet and personal ceremony with all their family and friends surrounding them. After the ceremony we headed to Foster beach to do the bridal party photos and photos of just them. After pushing our time limit and having the bus driver come find us we headed to Monastero’s Banquets for the party.
Kim and Alex secretly told me before their engagement session they were taking dance lessons to have a choreographed first dance. Lesson after their wedding…anyone engaged, go schedule some dance lessons! Their first dance was perfect, I can’t wait to see the video of it!
I had such a blast documenting the entire day for Kim and Alex as they move on to the next step of their lives together. Thank you for having me there for your wedding.
3 couples, 3 weddings!
